Unitarians are involved in many different social issues. If you are involved in an issue, and would like to find out whether CUSJ is active on that issue, send an e-mail to our listserve manager, Joy Silver asking to participate. All our members post their concerns on the listserve, and many good discussions are generated by those postings.
If you believe strongly that the CUSJ should take action on your issue, you can make a request to the CUSJ Board. Please take the time to fill out the Request for CUSJ Support Form.
Please provide this information:
- A brief summary of the issue and why it is important.
- How does the situation relate to our Unitarian principles?
- Find a good article or a couple of good websites with details on your issue and why this issue is important. Your CUSJ executive needs accurate information for our positions be credible.
- The precise action you want us to take. If you want a letter, to whom do you want to write? If it is participation at a meeting or with a coalition, provide us with dates and contact information.
If you give us a good briefing, we will be able to provide an effective and timely response.
We look forward to hearing from you. CUSJ is an organization for all Unitarians who care about social justice. We want your involvement, and your help to make our world a better place.
