This report from the National Observer shows us how much green energy each province produces and which ones are most dependent on carbon and have few renewable resources developed. It also shows how far we have to go in our personal lifestyles and carbon consumption. We are now at the stage where we are ready to start problem solving on how to get to our goal — 100% Renewable Energy by 2050.
We are going to need to stimulate innovation and effort in every sector toward conservation, better building standards, new sources of electricity, new sources of home heating, building the electric car infrastructure, etc. Now is the time for all Canadians and people around the world to work together toward clean energy solutions and energy efficiency.
We can do it. Let’s put our shoulders to the wheel for future generations and the natural world. It will be worth it.
