Did you know that First Nations children on reserve receive far less funding for education, child welfare and health services than all other Canadian children?

On Wednesday, February 14th over 500 schoolchildren gathered on Parliament Hill for the seventh annual “Have a heart” rally. Celebrated on Valentine’s Day, Have a Heart Day brings together caring Canadians who want Canada to wake up and start giving First Nations children living on reserve the services they need to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of who they are.

p.s. Bob Stevenson informs us that on March 4, Gary Campbell will be given time at the pulpit to tell the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa about the good work of CUSJ!
