Anne introduced us to the Canadian Health Coalition, the Provincial and Territorial Health Coalitions, and the many defenders of Universal Health Care in Canada. She will also discuss Pharmacare, Dental Care and the threat of privatization.

 
Anne: “We are really trying to get the attention of the Carney government to protect the 6 or so provinces and territories that are basically tearing down Universal Public Health Care ie ON QC AB SK, and to a lesser degree NS NB

Anne Lagacé Dowson is the Communications Director for the Canadian Health Coalition, founded in 1979 to protect and advance universal public health care in Canada. Presnt at the founding were Tommy Douglas and Monique Bégin.

Anne is a franco Ontarian now living in Montreal and has an MA in Canadian History from Carleton University and a BA from Ottawa U. She was a researcher, reporter, host, studio director and commentator for CBC and Radio-Canada, as well as Bell Media and Videotron in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.
