ATTEND AGM ON-LINE 2012

ATTEND AGM ON-LINE 2012

WHAT WILL I SEE WHEN I GET THERE?

At the very beginning, you will see a 30 second commercial. This cannot be skipped. (CUSJ does not control the content of this commercial but by not removing it we saved $300 for our social justice work.) The livestream will then begin.   While you are viewing, there may be occasional banner ads at the bottom of the embedded screen. You can minimize these immediately by clicking on the “X” in the top right corner of the ad.

Your screen will contain a screen showing what is going on at the AGM and a chat window.   You can view the video at full screen or press escape at any time to see and use the chat box.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE AGM DISCUSSION?

Just click in the chat box and enter your comment or question. Please include your name.  Other on-line participants will see your post immediately. At the AGM, someone will be monitoring the chat and will read comments and questions to the other participants at an appropriate time.

HOW DO I VOTE AT THE AGM?

VOTING WILL HAPPEN BETWEEN 10AM AND 11AM EASTERN.

On-line participants can vote if they have renewed their membership for 2012/13 by May 20 at 6:00 pm EDT. If you joined CUSJ and paid dues after January 1, 2012, your membership is valid for 2012/13.  For everyone else, your membership renewal is due as of April 1.

You can join CUSJ or renew your membership on-line at the CUSJ web site using Pay Pal

When a vote is called at the AGM, on-line participants can send their vote using the chat on the livestream. Be sure to include your name and e-mail with each vote so that your eligibility to vote can be confirmed.

If you are not a person who pays on line,  Copy the form on the website and send it with your cheque, payable to CUSJ, to Bob Staveley, Treasurer, CUSJ, P.O. Box 40011, Ottawa, Ontario, K1V 0W8  (treasurer@cusj.org)
